How long does the Summer Studio last?
The Summer Studio lasts for 12 days.
Who can join?
High school or gap year students (ages 14-19) can participate.
What language is the program in?
The Summer Studio will be run entirely in English. However, we are proud of our multicultural background and heritage.
Where will it take place?
The Summer Studio’s home base is the Architectural Institute of Prague (ARCHIP). We will also visit various studios, sites, and workshop locations around the city.
What will my day look like?
The program takes place from 10 am to 5 pm, and it varies from day to day. Between studio time, discussions, interactive workshops, site visits, and guest speakers, we carve out valuable downtime for you to reflect on what you have learned and explore the city together.
Do I need a background in design?
Absolutely not! DesignDisco is open to anyone eager to try it. We approach design as a creative tool, not yet a vocation. Our goal is to encourage open-minded, innovative thinking.
What does the tuition cover?
Tuition covers all programming, materials, field trips, daily lunch meals, a Prague city transit pass, museum tickets, and firm visits. Tuition does not cover flights, travel insurance, or visas if needed.
Will accommodation be covered?
No, DesignDisco does not provide accommodation. However, we will be more than happy to assist you with finding the best and safest options.
How do I enroll?
You can fill out our online enrollment form here. Enrollments are reviewed until all spots are filled, so apply as soon as possible! Early Bird deadline is 15 May and Regular deadline is 12 June.
