INSTRUCTORS

DesignDisco Studio brings together passionate young design professionals as instructors from diverse backgrounds. Our team is dedicated to helping students see how design connects to their everyday lives, personal values, and future aspirations.

Charlie Edmonds (he/him)

Charlie is a London-based designer and writer working across the fields of architecture, climate transition, and political economy. He is a graduate of the University of Cambridge where he co-founded Future Architects Front. Charlie co-leads the Neighbourhood Transitions demonstrator at CIVIC SQUARE, which seeks to reveal the necessary pathways towards a devolved urban climate transition. He has taught internationally at a variety of institutions, from Cambridge to Tokyo, and is currently a critical practice tutor at the London School of Architecture.

Jana Owens (she/her)

Jana is a passionate graphic designer whose experience in the nonprofit sector has shaped her unique approach to design. Her studies in industrial design at Virginia Tech School of Architecture + Design opened her eyes to the endless possibilities that design offers, and she's excited to share this world of discovery with high school students. Having made her home in multiple countries, Jana brings a global perspective to her teaching. She's fascinated by different cultures, ways of life, tiny living solutions, and diverse approaches to problem-solving. This international experience enriches her ability to help students see design challenges from multiple perspectives.
